The 1995 Resolution of the NPT proposed the establishment of a Nuclear Weapons Free Zone in the Middle East. This resolution was reaffirmed in the 2010 NPT review conference, and decided on discussions in the year of 2012. Currently, there are no international efforts or plans for having this meeting despite its importance. The goal of ACSIS is to promote the conference and highlight the importance of establishing a nuclear weapons free zone in the Middle East.
