- "Middle East Zone Free of Non-conventional Weapons" Workshop was held in Paris on June 8th and 9th 2011. The purpse of the workshop was to discuss regional threat pereceptions regarding chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons as well as the status of disarmament treaties in relation to recent political and social uprisings. Also to discuss future options for regional cooperation in science and technology as well as safety and security aspects and explore opportunitites for regional cooperation. http://www.iss.europa.eu/
